Students Who Are Exposed to COVID-19

All students who have been recently exposed* to COVID-19 are asked to adhere to the following protocols.

Take These Steps

  • STEP 1: You do not need to quarantine unless you develop symptoms. Continue to watch for symptoms over the next 10 days.
  • STEP 2: If you develop symptoms, isolate immediately.
  • STEP 3: Even if you don’t develop symptoms, you should get tested at least 5 full days after your exposure. If you test positive, please follow the instructions for students testing positive.
  • STEP 4: Wear a well-fitting mask for 10 days any time you are around others inside your home or in public. Avoid high-risk activities such as eating or drinking around others during this 10-day period.
  • STEP 5: Avoid being around people at increased risk for severe illness for the next 10 days.

*What does exposed mean?

Please review CDC guidelines on how to determine your risk of exposure. Follow the steps listed above if you were at increased risk of exposure to COVID-19 or have been told by a health care provider or public health authority that you were exposed.
