New reasons for a virtual visit

Emory’s ever-expanding online presence has a new go-to source for university stories, news, and events. Launched earlier this year, the Emory News Center offers new online features and services for the approximately four million annual visitors to the university’s site, who range from alumni to faculty and staff to prospective students. The multimedia-rich site can be navigated by topic, so that visitors can target their particular interests—from alumni accomplishments to autism research.

“The News Center provides a space for us to combine the best of Emory’s news and events channels into a single, dynamic site that presents a compelling picture of Emory,” says Jan Gleason, executive director of university marketing.

While the News Center is focused on current happenings, another new online resource looks to the past. Digital, searchable editions of select Emory yearbooks, the Zodiac and Campus, are now available through the Manuscript, Archives, and Rare Book Library. For more than a century, Emory’s yearbooks captured and preserved the student spirit.

Find them—including a 2011 digital version.
